What types of ceremonies do you conduct?
The Sacred Adventure is proud to offer custom-crafted ceremonies and celebrations, including Weddings, Elopements, Vow Renewals, Baby Blessings / Welcomings, Adoption Celebrations, Memorials (for people and pets), Celebrations of Life, and so much more. Because we are a multi-faith ministry, we love to work with people from all walks of life and all beliefs, including none at all. We believe every person is living their Sacred Adventure, and it deserves to be celebrated.
When and where do you offer your officiating services?
We are a mobile ministry officiating ceremonies seven days a week at the location of your choosing in the states of Oregon and California. We can often be available on short notice, and we will sometimes announce pop-up ceremonies in various towns via Facebook or Instagram.
You say you offer your services across Oregon and California. What about travel doesn't that get expensive? Will you be charging me for your travel?
We realize that it may be difficult to believe, but when we provide you with a quote, it's all-inclusive. That means there will be no hidden or surprise travel, mileage, lodging, or fuel charges.
What's included when we hire you?
A typical engagement with The Sacred Aventure will start with a complimentary meeting (typically via Zoom) to become acquainted and discuss your visions and desired outcomes for your event or service. If we agree that we're a good fit, we'll go into contract together, and a deposit or full payment for services will be made. At this point, you'll be provided with resources, information, and support to help make your part of the process as easy as can be. As your event draws near, you'll receive a script that includes everything that will be said during your ceremony, with no surprises. You'll even have the ability to request a round of edits to make sure we get it just right. On your celebration day, we'll arrive early to ensure everyone's ready to go. We'll conduct a beautiful ceremony that will leave you and your guests delighted and inspired.
That all sounds reasonable. Is there anything else I should know?
We're glad you asked. There are a few ways that we're different from lots of other folks who do what we do. Call it our inspiration or added value. One item was mentioned above. About 50% of officiants don't offer their clients the ability to see or make edits to their ceremonies. We believe that's because they want you to be surprised on the day of your event. We get that, but we believe it's for your benefit as well as ours for you to know everything your officiant is going to say. Neither is good or bad. It's just our way. Also, some services that other officiants call "concierge" services and charge for, we include as part of our standard package. Upon arrival at your event, we come to check on you and any other key folks involved in the ceremony (bridal party, key family members, coordinators, vendors). We ensure that little details are handled prior to the start of the ceremony, so everything goes as smoothly as possible. We even stay in communication with you after the event to make sure important items (like marriage licenses, etc.) are handled in a timely and professional manner.
